LCGC New Interim President

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire membership of the Liberian Community of Greater Cincinnati - LCGC, we would like to introduce and congratulate Mr. Richard Banto as the newly appointed Interim President effective October 5, 2019 for a period of one year. 

Moving forward, all communications, businesses or anything that has to do with LCGC must be channeled through Mr. Richard Banto as he is the one that runs the day-to-day activity of our beloved chapter.

FOLAO Undertakes Rice Project in Liberia For Deserving People

FOLAO sees it as a mandate to contribute to the socio-economic development of Liberia. It even sees it as an obligation to assist its fellow Liberians, especially during crisis. Just recently, the Association sent 230 bags of rice to Liberia to be distributed to Ebola victims. The distribution of the rice will be implemented by at least 5 churches. The churches are located in areas that were known to be highly affected by Ebola.

FOLAO Rekindles Dayton, Monrovia Sister-City Relationship

The Sister-City Relationship between the City of Dayton and the Monrovia City Corporation of Liberia, which was in moribund state, for some reason, has been rekindled, through the instrumentality of FOLAO. Just recently, Hon. Carter, the Board Chairman of FOLAO, Mr. Alfred Sieh and ULAA General Secretary, Hon. Fayah Nyumah met the Sister-City Committee,  and there are arrangements being made to invite the Monrovia City Mayor to Dayton to discuss the shipment of medical supplies, buses, garbage trucks and other materials to Liberia.
